Congratulations go out to Stefania D'Amato of Lower Mills. Stefania is the 2010 Dorchester Day Essay Contest winner that was recently honored at the Meatloaf Kick-off dinner held in the First Parish Church on Meetinghouse Hill. She attends St. Brendan's School and read her winning essay on Lucy Stone to the guests at the dinner. She has been awarded with a $500 U.S. Savings Bond. Great job Stefania!! The 2010 Dorchester Chili Cookoffis taking place on March 28th from 3:00- 6:00 pm at the IBEW Local 103 in Dorchester. Cost: $15/individuals, $25 /per family. Includes all the chili and fixins' you can eat, and a chance to vote for Dorchester's best chili.
